Worship

Tuscarora would be honored to welcome YOU as we worship together in person or
online on Sunday mornings at 10am or for one of several special services held
throughout the year, including a Christmas Eve 6pm Service designed for children and
an 11pm Candlelight & Communion Service, a Maundy Thursday Dinner & Worship at
the Church Hall, and an Easter Sunrise Service.

Children and youth

Youth are included in worship by helping to light candles (acolyte), hold baskets for mission offerings, and sometimes to lead prayers and other liturgy.

There is also a special time for our children with the pastor or another teacher before children pre-k through 3rd grade are invited to children’s church (add link to learning page for children’s church).

Music Ministry

Sharing God’s Word thru music is a special part of Tuscarora’s worship. Our music program enhances our worship with meaningful hymns based on scripture and sermon along with special music.

Our Church Choir, with a spirit of fellowship and joy, enhances weekly worship, singing Sunday mornings, with rehearsals on Thursday evenings. The highlight of the choir is sharing God’s word with our annual Christmas Cantata, a beloved tradition that draws a large audience from the congregation and community alike. Whether a seasoned vocalist or simply enjoy making music, you are warmly invited and be a part of this meaningful ministry.

Tuscarora’s Sunday services follow a traditional Presbyterian order of worship, moving the congregation from Gathering Around God’s Word through praise and confession, to Proclaiming God’s Word in song and scripture and sermon, to Responding to God’s Word in prayer, offering and service, and finally, Bearing and Following God’s Word into the World.

Our desire is for everyone who gathers in worship at Tuscarora to experience transformation through God’s Word and the Holy Spirit’s work and to be sent by the Word, renewed and equipped for service in the world in the name of Christ Jesus, our Lord.
